Job summary

Takeda in Ireland is seeking a CMC Lead for Launch Product, Small Molecules to provide strategic and operational leadership across CMC lifecycle for a key launched product. You will lead a global GSQ CMC team, interfacing with Pharmaceutical Sciences and manufacturing, ensuring excellence and optimized resource use.

The role requires a bachelor degree in engineering or life sciences and 10–15 years in pharmaceutical development/manufacturing within a global matrixed setup.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cross-functional GSQ CMC team to support effective product development activities.
• Develop robust lifecycle management for Takeda’s key small molecule assets.
• Represent CMC matters within Takeda’s Global Product Teams.
• Provide leadership for complex initiatives spanning multiple products.
• Accountable for scientific/CMC contents related to SM asset and business impact.
• Lead the SM CMC team in collaboration with Pharmaceutical Sciences as needed.
• Collaborate across GSQ functions, including internal/external sites and Pharmaceutical Sciences, for technology excellence and data analytics.
• Influence GSQ and Product Teams to drive decisions and resolve conflicts in CMC/LCM.
• Work with PMs to drive success of the CMC team and decisions on lifecycle management.
• Ensure sound decisions for development of the SM asset and its commercialization impact.
• Coordinate hand-off of late-stage products to the commercial team with MSAT groups.
