Job summary

F5 is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to help protect our enterprise and product environments. You will develop and implement strategic security processes and build technical solutions to improve our security posture in a rapidly evolving cloud and on‑premises landscape.

You will collaborate with Architecture, SRE and Operations, leverage Azure, AWS and GCP, conduct risk assessments and threat modeling, and implement zero‑trust, IAM patterns and new controls across platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-availability enterprise production environments.
• Ability to script in multiple languages and automate security processes.
• Baseline competency with Azure/AWS/GCP or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of security architecture, networking, and threat prevention.
• Experience automating security testing and reporting outputs.
• Familiarity with security tools and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks to confidentiality, integrity, and availability and mitigate them.
• Leverage cloud services to automate security controls.
• Develop or implement security tools for threat detection and analysis.
• Perform security assessments on enterprise systems and services.
• Review changes for security and compliance impacts.
• Lead security testing and penetration testing initiatives.
• Advise on security design principles to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Architecture, SRE and Operations teams.
