Job summary

Siemens EDA is expanding its Cloud Software Engineer team in Ireland to bring HPC to the Cloud for secure execution of chip design software. You will work on a Hybrid SaaS/PaaS platform and help scale across public, private and multi-cloud environments.

The role emphasizes secure, scalable infrastructure, collaboration with Azure/AWS/Google, and rapid delivery in a founding team setting. A strong cloud background and scripting in Go, Java, Python or C++ is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Technology or a relevant degree.
• Experience architecting and maintaining large scale cloud platforms in production.
• Experience with hybrid on-premises and SaaS products.
• Understanding of Cloud and Application Security.
• Understanding of Container orchestration.
• Experience in multi-cloud across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
• Understanding of Azure, AWS and Google IPaaS.
• Disaster Recovery and multi-zone availability.

Responsibilities

• Review, understand and create to cloud software components written in Golang, Java, Python and C++.
• Champion and support a culture of building secure, performant, large-scale infrastructure and applications.
• Work in a scrum team with fellow Engineers to develop core software components for internal and external customers.
• Implement POCs to validate approaches and techniques.
• Validate the security of cloud infrastructure.
• Investigate technology choices required by us and our customers to achieve our goals.
• Partner with the wider organisation to understand, socialise and support their internal cloud infrastructure development needs.
• Assist with the DevOps and tooling for building Cloud SaaS solutions.
• Performance comparison testing of the latest cloud servers and architectures and tooling running our software.
• Get stuck in and build the future.
