Job summary

Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) invites applications for a Senior Clinical Research Nurse Programme Coordinator at the RCSI Clinical Research Centre (CRC) on the Beaumont Hospital Campus. This CNM3 level role oversees day-to-day project management for the RECAP DTIF consortium studies, including CrannMed and Salaso trials, within a dynamic research environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher level education.
• 8 years post-registration experience with at least 3 years in independent research / clinical trials.
• Registered with an appropriate division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
• Proven recent clinical skills and good organisational abilities.
• Strong project management, problem solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently within a dynamic research team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage RECAP projects in line with protocols and SOPs.
• Liaise with Galway Institute for Clinical Trials for regulatory and ethics docs.
• Ensure governance approvals are in place before study start.
• Maintain study budgets and support PI with finance queries.
• Attend consortium meetings; travel as required.
• Recruit and manage nursing team members; oversee data collection and entry.
• Schedule visits, perform study procedures and manage safety reporting.
• Communicate with sponsor and research team throughout the studies.
• Ensure training and competency development for team; maintain documentation.
