Job summary

ProSource Group in Dublin is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of sustainable infrastructure across residential, education, commercial and regeneration sectors. You will manage projects, mentor engineers, build client relationships and help grow the business.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Post-graduate experience in civil engineering design consultancy.
• Proven experience delivering across residential, education, commercial development or regeneration.
• Strong knowledge of drainage, highways, external works and infrastructure design.
• Understanding of planning applications, procurement and technical approvals.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects, programmes, budgets and resources.
• Previous team leadership or mentoring experience.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD and drainage design software such as Causeway Flow or MicroDrainage.
• Excellent technical report-writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Chartered or Incorporated status with Engineers Ireland, ICE, CIHT, CIWEM or a similar professional institution is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the civil engineering design and delivery of multiple projects from planning through to construction.
• Manage project teams and oversee engineers at varying levels of experience.
• Coordinate resources, programmes and technical deliverables to ensure projects meet high standards and deadlines.
• Liaise with clients, architects, design teams, public authorities and other stakeholders.
• Oversee planning applications, procurement processes and technical approvals.
• Monitor project budgets, profitability, resourcing and labour requirements.
• Identify potential programme or commercial risks and communicate them to senior management.
• Review technical designs, calculations, reports, drawings and specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development toward chartership.
• Identify team training, software and equipment requirements.
• Support fee proposals, bids and business development activities.
• Develop existing client relationships, secure repeat business and identify new opportunities.
• Ensure project delivery complies with internal quality and management systems.

ProSource are recruiting on behalf of our client, an award-winning engineering consultancy, for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Dublin office.

Role

Requirements

• Detailed understanding of planning applications, procurement and technical approval processes.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary projects, programmes, budgets and project resources.
• Previous team leadership or mentoring experience.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD and drainage design software such as Causeway Flow or MicroDrainage.
• Excellent technical report-writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and client-facing ability.
• Chartered or Incorporated status with Engineers Ireland, ICE, CIHT, CIWEM or a similar professional institution is preferred.
