Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (Level 8 or above).
• 5+ years' experience in civil engineering design.
• Consultancy experience within Ireland.
• Chartered status or working towards Chartership.
• Strong experience in roads, drainage and water infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of Irish design standards and approval processes.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and InfoDrainage.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects through planning, design, tender and construction stages.
• Design and coordinate roads, drainage, utilities and site infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering reports, flood risk assessments and planning documentation.
• Produce detailed design drawings, specifications and tender packages.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, Local Authorities and statutory bodies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
• Carry out BCAR inspections and support construction-stage delivery.
• Attend and lead project meetings.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their established team in Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of projects across the residential, commercial, industrial and public sectors while working alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team.

The Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll manage projects from initial concept through to construction, delivering innovative and practical civil engineering solutions for a diverse portfolio of developments across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects through planning, design, tender and construction stages
• Design and coordinate roads, drainage, utilities and site infrastructure
• Prepare engineering reports, flood risk assessments and planning documentation
• Produce detailed design drawings, specifications and tender packages
• Liaise with clients, contractors, Local Authorities and statutory bodies
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams
