Expectations From TheRole:

Responsibilities

This role requires an experienced Citrix and End User Computing consultant with strong working experience across solution design, implementation, technical leadership, service delivery, customer engagement and vendor management.

The successful candidate will Senior Citrix Consultantwork with peers from Professional Services, Cloud Operations, Solution Architecture, Sales and Service Delivery to determine and implement innovative Citrix solutions that support eir business customers and our continued managed cloud growth.

The role involves the design, upgrade, implementation and senior-level support of Citrix environments, Desktop as a Service and Load Balancer as a Service across customer estates and shared managed service platforms.

Tasks will involve:

Collaborate with solution architects, pre-sales teams and service delivery teams to understand customer requirements and design efficient Citrix solutions.

Design, implement and upgrade Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments for enterprise and managed service customers.

Support and evolve Desktop as a Service offerings across customer platforms.

Design, implement and support Citrix ADC / NetScaler solutions, including gateway, load balancing and application delivery use cases.

Support Load Balancer as a Service offerings and act as a senior escalation point for Citrix related incidents.

Perform pre-sales assessments, customer workshops and technical discovery sessions to evaluate existing customer environments.

Produce high quality technical documentation, including high-level designs, low-level designs, migration plans, upgrade plans, statements of work and operational handover material.

Lead Citrix platform migrations, lifecycle upgrades and customer transition activities.

Troubleshoot complex Citrix, EUC, application delivery, login, profile, connectivity and performance issues.

Support critical incident response and root cause analysis for Citrix related service issues.

Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to Cloud Operations, Service Desk and junior consultancy team members.

Maintain awareness of current Citrix, Microsoft, VMware and EUC best practices through continuous learning.

Skills and experience

Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a hands-on Citrix consultancy, infrastructure engineering or End User Computing role.

Demonstrable experience designing, implementing, upgrading and supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.

Strong troubleshooting ability, following a logical and systematic approach to identify symptoms, eliminate causes, diagnose root cause and deliver resolution.

Experience delivering customer-facing professional services engagements within a managed service provider environment.

Experience working across both project delivery and operational support teams.

Working knowledge of the following:

Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix DaaS, StoreFront, Workspace App, Delivery Controllers, Machine Catalogs and Delivery Groups.

Citrix ADC / NetScaler, Gateway, load balancing, content switching, certificate management and application delivery concepts.

Citrix Provisioning Services, Machine Creation Services, profile management and FSLogix.

Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, NTP and certificate services.

Virtualisation platforms, primarily VMware vSphere, including ESXi, vCenter and shared storage dependencies.

Preferred:

Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualisation or equivalent experience.

Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualisation or equivalent architecture experience.

Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent industry experience.

Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Entra ID and modern workplace technologies.

A high level of professionalism and strong commitment to customer outcomes.
