Job summary

The Talbot Group seeks a Person in Charge to lead the overall management of the service in our Ireland-based facility. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents and coordinating a multidisciplinary team.

A QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care or a degree in another relevant Allied Healthcare related discipline.
Minimum of three years' experience in a management or supervisory role in Health or Social Care.
Hold an appropriate qualification in Health or Social Care management (minimum level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications).

Responsibilities

The Person in Charge will be responsible for the overall management of the Service and for providing the highest standards of service to Residents and management of staff.
Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and implement Talbot Group policies and procedures supporting best care and practice.
Report and respond to complaints, in line with organisational policies and procedures.
Coordinate and lead the staff team with supervision, appraisals, and monthly team meetings.
Coordinate and prioritise appointments with the multi-disciplinary team and develop person-centred care plans.
Enable residents to have choice and control, maintain relationships with family and friends, and access advocates as appropriate.
Ensure care plans are reviewed regularly and updated per regulations and stay informed on professional developments.
