The business operates diagnostic imaging and minor injuries centres around the country, offering a broad range of cutting-edge imaging technology and healthcare services to the public, insurers, employers, and other organisations.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist / Lead Echocardiographer to lead a new service based in our Cork Clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Cardiac Physiologist seeking to advance their career with a leading healthcare provider focused on developing and expanding Echocardiography Services throughout Ireland.

The cardiology suite will cover a comprehensive range of services and non-invasive cardiovascular investigations, including:

  • Transthoracic echocardiography
  • ECG
  • Stress testing
  • Ambulatory Holter and blood pressure monitoring
  • Cardiac CT and MRI
  • Access to invasive services via local partners

Duties:

  • Manage your own clinic workload efficiently while maintaining high standards. Flexible working conditions can be discussed.
  • Provide clinical leadership within echocardiography and non-invasive testing, adhering to department policies, procedures, and internationally recognised guidelines.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, ensuring high standards of training and patient care.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal care.
  • Participate in the development of new testing sites nationwide, if desired.
  • Hold a recognised qualification in Clinical Measurement Science or an equivalent relevant scientific qualification, as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology (IICMP).
  • Ideally, have approximately 5 years post-qualification experience with at least 3 years in Echo.
  • Possess current BSE (British Society of Echocardiography) or EACVI (European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging) accreditation.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume workload.
  • Work independently with strong communication skills.
  • Show ambition and energy to grow Echocardiography services throughout Ireland.
