Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies Inc Cork-based Global CAD team develops tools, flows, and methodologies for VLSI design and enables technology in advanced nodes. The role combines software and hardware knowledge with optimization and automated reasoning using AI, constraint programming, SAT, and metaheuristics.

You will collaborate across hardware, software, and algorithmic domains to tackle large-scale microelectronic challenges with a data-driven mindset, contributing to end-to-end CAD tool development

Qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge on automated reasoning approaches of artificial intelligence and/or operation research.
• Deep understanding of graph theory algorithms and data-structures.
• Proven ability to design and implement highly optimized constraint reasoning methods.
• Proven ability to develop high quality software: versioning, testing, continuous integration and continuous deployment and documentation.
• Excellent computer programming skills in Python are required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated reasoning approaches to solve highly challenging problems on VLSI design.
• Develop CAD tools, flows, methodologies, and internal applications for enabling technology and implementation flows.
• Collaborate with engineers in an interdisciplinary team to meet electronic design requirements.
• Contribute to software development best practices including versioning, testing, CI/CD and documentation.
