Job summary

Cpl are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to hire an experienced C# Developer for a global middleware team. You’ll own the design and delivery of middleware that moves data between trading and operational systems, and you’ll take real ownership of major projects and ongoing enhancements.

Work with business users to translate requirements into dependable solutions, contribute to architecture discussions, and collaborate across regions in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
• Strong C#/.NET (v6+) and/or C++ skills.
• Solid MS SQL Server experience.
• Experience with system architecture and data processing.
• Strong problem-solving ability and collaborative approach.
• Nice to have: knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivatives.

The platform connects front, middle and back-office systems and is critical to the business day to day. You’ll work on both major projects and ongoing enhancements, with real technical ownership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain middleware that moves and processes data between trading and operational systems
• Provide technical input on architecture, development environments and implementation
• Work with business users and analysts to turn requirements into dependable solutions
• Collaborate with development leads and colleagues across multiple regions
• Take part in Agile ceremonies and share designs and solutions with the wider team
• Support Risk, Finance and Regulatory Reporting teams as required
• Balance project delivery with BAU and support work

Requirements

• 7+ years relevant software development experience
• Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline
• Strong C#/.NET skills (version 6 or above) and/or C++
• Solid MS SQL Server experience
• Experience with system architecture and message and data processing
• Strong problem-solving ability and a solid grounding in computer science and maths
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, self-driven approach
• Nice to have: knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivatives
