Job summary

E‑Frontiers, a well-established Irish engineering and manufacturing business, is expanding its procurement team and seeking a Senior Buyer to own key categories and supplier relationships. You'll manage day‑to‑day sourcing, RFQs/RFPs, plus procurement schedules for major projects, ensuring on‑time delivery and budget adherence while collaborating with Engineering, Production, Quality and Management.

3–5+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing or industrial environments are preferred,

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years' procurement or buying experience, ideally within manufacturing, construction, modular or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of M&E materials; electrical procurement experience would be advantageous.
• Confident negotiating with suppliers and experienced in RFQs, quotation analysis and competitive tendering.
• Comfortable using ERP/procurement systems and Excel for purchasing, spend analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day sourcing, purchasing and supplier follow-up across assigned categories, acting as the key procurement contact for projects.
• Run RFQs/RFPs, compare supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms.
• Develop and maintain procurement schedules for major projects, tracking orders, deliveries and potential supply risks.
• Build and manage supplier relationships, including performance tracking, onboarding, reviews and corrective actions.
• Support cost-saving initiatives, new product launches and the identification of new suppliers and markets.
