Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Business Analyst in Dublin for a day-rate contract to support a critical change programme. You will bridge business stakeholders, technology teams and delivery leads, owning requirements from discovery to implementation in a regulated financial services environment.

The role demands hands-on delivery, strong requirements gathering, and the ability to ramp up quickly with minimal handholding.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services.
• Experience with regulatory or transformation programmes.
• Strong requirements gathering and BPMN/Visio documentation.
• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile.
• Data analysis skills with SQL and Excel.
• Stakeholder management with senior audiences.
• Contracting experience and ability to deliver quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation through workshops, interviews and process walkthroughs with business and operations stakeholders.
• Document business requirements, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Map current-state and future-state processes, identifying gaps, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Perform data analysis and data mapping to support system changes, migrations and reporting.
• Translate regulatory and business needs into clear, testable requirements for technology teams.
• Work within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery models, contributing to backlog refinement and sprint ceremonies.
• Support test planning, UAT execution and defect triage, ensuring requirements traceability.
• Produce impact assessments and support change management, training and business readiness.
• Maintain clear documentation and provide regular status updates to the Project/Programme Manager.
