Job summary

BioMarin is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Cork to own end-to-end process ownership for products manufactured at internal sites and CMOs/CDMOs. You will lead technology transfer, scale-up, PPQ, and lifecycle management while safeguarding product quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering with 15+ years in biopharmaceutical processing, strong leadership, and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in biopharmaceutical process engineering or related field.
• Experience with external manufacturing partners and CDMO governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for site selection, technology transfer, scale-up, PPQ, and lifecycle management at CMOs/CDMOs.
• Own process descriptions and risk assessments to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Lead complex deviations and technical investigations with data-driven decision making.
• Collaborate across Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory and Supply Chain to ensure robust manufacturing processes.
