Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Technology Transfer Lead (Associate Director level) to own the end-to-end transfer of bulk drug substance processes into our Dublin manufacturing facility. You will ensure validation readiness and robust, compliant execution, turning scientific innovation into reliable manufacturing scale.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technology transfer from lab to commercial scale.
• Strong understanding of cGMP for biopharma manufacturing.
• Proven ability to drive knowledge transfer and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technology transfers of bulk drug substance processes to the Dublin facility.
• Define and execute validation strategies and guide PPQ activities to milestones.
• Own process documentation, gap assessments and technical protocols for robust commercial execution.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including AI-enabled tools, to reduce transfer lead times and increase yield.
• Coordinate with MSAT/Process Development to de-risk scale-up and transfer decisions.
• Deliver materials lists and BoM, manage readiness with Quality and Supply Chain.
