Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. is seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications powering our AI Security solutions.

You will contribute to building the AI Security web app, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-performance software. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in server-side development with Python and FastAPI, strong DB knowledge (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and experience with RESTful APIs and multi-service

Qualifications

• Experience at least 5 years developing server-side applications with Python, FastAPI or equivalent frameworks.
• Strong understanding of database technology, including PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Proven expertise in building, debugging, and maintaining RESTful APIs and multi-service backend systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to debug and analyze complex software systems.
• Passion for delivering high-quality backend solutions that meet business and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver backend applications, SDKs, and tools to support AI Security solutions at scale.
• Collaborate with product, QA, frontend, and data science teams to deliver high-performance software.
• Write clean, efficient, and secure code following best practices.
• Test, troubleshoot, and optimize backend services for maximum scalability and reliability.
• Architect backend features using modern design and scalable patterns.
• Continuously improve and collaborate to solve development challenges.
