Job summary

MCS Group Consultancy is partnering with a technology-led organisation to appoint a Senior Platform Engineer in Dublin. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the Dublin office, and focuses on modernising and securing cloud infrastructure with AWS technologies.

You will design and evolve infrastructure, drive container platforms with ECS and Docker, and implement IaC with Terraform while building CI/CD pipelines and improving observability to boost developer experience and platform

Qualifications

• AWS SRE, Terraform, ECS, Docker skills required.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling.
• Knowledge of Datadog or other observability platforms.
• Scripting with Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Designing and evolving AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Driving container platforms using AWS ECS and Docker.
• Building Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Developing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Enhancing observability through Datadog.
• Creating self-service platform capabilities for engineering teams.
• Optimising cloud performance, resilience and cost.
