Job summary

An Ireland-based biopharmaceutical project is seeking an experienced Automation / Systems Engineer to support a major greenfield expansion in Kerry. Qualifications

• Experience delivering automation projects in a GxP Biopharma or pharma manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in PLC, SCADA, DCS, industrial networking, and CSV standards.
• Hands-on CQV experience and vendor management.
• Experience with aseptic filling lines or clean utilities is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• OT & Automation Leadership: Drive lifecycle automation activities across aseptic filling, compounding, and clean utility streams.
• Vendor & Integration Oversight: Coordinate automation vendors, system integrators, and cross-functional teams from design review to startup.
• Lifecycle Compliance: Review and approve key GxP deliverables including URS, FDS, SDS, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and CQV documentation.
• System Integration: Oversee integration across PLC, SCADA, DCS, MES, data historians, and OT networks (ISA-88 / ISA-95).
• Commissioning & Qualification: Provide technical oversight during FAT/SAT, OQ completion, and PQ batches leading into commercial production.

A leading biopharmaceutical project in Ireland is seeking an experienced Automation / Systems Engineer to support the delivery of a major greenfield expansion in Kerry.

With physical construction complete and core teams established, this phase focuses on the rapid implementation of high-speed filling lines, compounding rooms, and clean utility systems for next-generation niche biologics. This site scale-up offers strong multi-year project security running through 2030.

• OT & Automation Leadership: Drive lifecycle automation activities across aseptic filling, compounding, and clean utility streams.
• Vendor & Integration Oversight: Coordinate automation vendors, system integrators, and cross-functional teams from design review to startup.
• Lifecycle Compliance: Review and approve key GxP deliverables including URS, FDS, SDS, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and CQV documentation.
