BNY in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking a Private Equity Senior Specialist: Fund/Client Accounting to join our Private Equity team. You’ll be responsible for NAVs, capital accounts, and GP/LP allocations, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for our clients.

You will perform reconciliations, support cash and position reporting, and maintain robust controls while mentoring Analysts and Associates. This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical skills and a commitment to excellence.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required.
• Fund accounting background mandatory.
• Experience with private equity funds advantageous.
• Knowledge of Geneva or Investran preferred.

• Perform cash and position reconciliation and ensure proper backups.
• Maintain expense budgets and accrual accuracy at valuation points.
• Ensure funds are priced per valuation policy and pricing matrix.
• Lead monthly/quarterly tasks and capital call/distribution calculations.
• Maintain waterfall models and side-letter terms; escalate exceptions.
• Interact with clients and respond to queries in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to policies and controls; mentor Analysts/Associates.
• Manage audit requests and participate in audit calls.
• Participate in client and company projects including testing and automation initiatives.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Private Equity Senior Specialist: Fund/Client Accounting to join our Private Equity team. We are recruiting for this role as a result of mandate wins across both existing and new clients. This role is located in Dublin, Ireland.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Prepare NAVs, capital accounts, GP/LP allocations, journal entries, reconciliations, and maintain GL integrity. Act as primary preparer and secondary reviewer.
• Perform cash and position reconciliation, ensuring good hygiene around breaks and that the appropriate back-up is on file.
• Ensure expense budgets are in place for the funds and maintain expense accrual accuracy at each valuation point.
• Ensure funds are priced in accordance with the valuation policy and pricing matrix.
• Take core ownership of monthly/quarterly tasks and preparation of capital call and distribution calculations and review of corresponding notices.
• Maintain waterfall models (fees, carry, hurdles, catch-up), equalization, and side-letter terms in working papers; escalate exceptions.
• This is a client-facing role, involving interaction with clients and responding to their queries in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to our policies and procedures, maintaining integrity around checklists and control environment.
• Mentor Analysts/Associates on quality, controls, and timelines; serve as point person for specific funds/vehicles.
• Manage audit requests for those funds under your remit, ensure timely responses and participate in audit calls. Audit items to be actioned within agreed timeframes.
• Participate in client projects as well as wider company projects/initiatives. Join project calls, provide feedback, and perform required testing.
• Immerse yourself in our AI and digital tool platforms to ensure that automation and risk mitigation are at the forefront of our culture.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Fund accounting background is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Geneva or Investran accounting systems is preferred.
• Private Equity experience is essential.
