Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Software Engineer to architect intelligent agents using Coupa Agent Studio and Compose for rapid prototyping. You will connect prototypes to ERPs and data sources, applying prompt engineering and LLM orchestration to ensure accurate, context-aware solutions.

You will also develop middleware for seamless data exchange via APIs/JSON/XML and collaborate with Solution Advisors to translate customer pain points into technical requirements for quick feasibility assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Full stack proficiency across front-end, back-end, database and infra.
• Hands-on AI related technologies experience.
• Experience with Spend Management domain is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and project management.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop intelligent agents using Coupa Agent Studio to automate complex workflows.
• Utilize Coupa Compose to build solution proof-of-concepts using Coupa AI technologies.
• Apply prompt engineering and LLM orchestration logic to ensure agents are accurate, context-aware and performant.
• Build and connect prototypes via MCP, A2A, BYOA to diverse systems and data sources including ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Servicenow, Netsuite…), middleware systems, and third-party data providers.
• Develop and maintain middleware/scripts to facilitate seamless data exchange via APIs and JSON/XML formats.
• Ensure bi-directional data integrity between the AI agents and the 3rd party environments.
• Partner with Solution Advisors to translate 'customer pain points' into technical requirements for rapid prototyping.
• Participate in discovery sessions to provide technical feasibility assessments for custom AI solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Administration (or related)
• 4+ years of progressive experience in Software Engineering, with a focus on enterprise applications and application modernization, preferably within the technology or SAAS
• Full Stack Proficiency: Strong hands‑on experience across the full application stack (front‑end, back‑end, database, infrastructure). Strong proficiency in one or more modern technology languages
• Spend Management industry experience
• Hands‑on experience using AI related technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple development projects concurrently
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments
