Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with platform, embedded, or systems-level development.
• Proficient in C++ and Java; Python experience.
• Experience with Linux and Container technology - LXC.
• Proven experience with Android development and the broader Android ecosystem, including Android internals/AOSP, custom system services, HAL development, or Android runtime environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain software in C++, Java, Python, and Rust with a focus on Android platform and systems-level development.
• Help integrate software from meeting platform partners into our stack, with focus on Android-based components.
• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance Android environments on embedded Linux host, including containerized or headless runtimes where required.
• Modify and extend the AOSP framework, system services, and HAL for devices.
• Develop robust IPC for interaction between Android and Linux applications (audio, Wi‑Fi, USB, serial, etc).
• Ensure stable, secure, low-latency networking across Linux host and Android for cloud sync and telemetry.
• Debug complex Linux-Android boundary issues (memory, startup, network).
• Build software with quality focus and drive continuous improvement.
• Champion engineering best practices, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers.
• Actively leverage AI-based tools to improve productivity and product quality.
