Job summary

EirGrid is seeking a Data & Reporting Analyst to strengthen governance, risk, and compliance oversight across the electricity transmission system. You will provide structured data, reporting and analytical support to monitor regulatory obligations and industry codes.

Working with Operations teams, you will develop and maintain clear reporting frameworks, dashboards and analyses that support audit tracking, regulatory assurance and management decisions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting or BI.
• Ability to identify trends, patterns and risks and present clearly.
• Experience building dashboards and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

The Team

The Operations Office is central to the delivery of our primary role – the operation, development and enhancement of the power system and the wholesale electricity market. The Office is also responsible for the sustainable implementation of the transmission system and market development to meet the future needs of all users of electricity.

Within theOperationsOffice, theReadiness and Operational Changefunctioncomprisesof a skilled team of professionals with backgrounds in engineering, business/commerce and legal. We partner with our colleagues in other Offices to deliver the changes to support the development of the power system and market. The team are responsible for ensuring that we are operationally ready for the future market and system and that the appropriate technology solutions are delivered. We also manage Governance, Risk, Compliance and Audit associated with our licence and other legal obligations and ensure ongoing compliance with change. The team engages with external regulatory, System operator and industry stakeholders both in Ireland and Europe on technical and market changes, on implementation of European codes and obligations and on compliance.

The Role

Thisrolewithin Operationsisfocused onstrengtheningoversightofgovernance, risk,complianceandassuranceactivitieslinked toEirGrid’sregulated TSO obligations.The Data & Reporting Analyst willprovide structured data, reporting and analytical supportto helpmonitorcompliance with licence conditions, European regulatoryobligationsand relevant industry codes.Workingwithteams acrossOperations,therole holder will developandmaintainclearreporting frameworks,dashboardsandanalysisto support TSO compliance monitoring, audit tracking, regulatoryassuranceandmanagement decision-making.

Therole will supportadata-driven approach toTSOgovernanceand compliancebytrackingregulatory commitments,audit observations,remediationactionsand performance indicators,andby highlightingtrends, emerging risksand areas requiring management attention.The role requires strong collaboration, attention to detail and the ability to translate complex operational and compliance data into concise reporting that supports robust TSO oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect,analyseand interpret datarelating to TSOgovernance, risk, compliance,auditand regulatory assurance activities.
• Maintainreliabledatasetsonregulatory obligations, compliance metrics, audit observations,risksand remediation actions.
• Identifytrends,anomaliesand emerging risksto supportmanagement oversight of TSO obligations.
• Develop andmaintaindashboards and reports that provide clear visibility of TSO compliance,assuranceand risk activities.
• Produce regular and ad-hocreportingfor senior management,internal governanceforumsand regulatory engagement.
• Support monitoring and reporting of compliance with TSO licence conditions, Europeanregulationsand relevant industry codes.
• Trackcompliancefindings,observations,commitmentsand remediation progress.
• Maintain audit trackers, assurance metrics and evidencerecordsto support TSO audit and assurance activity.
• Provide analytical support for audit planning, sampling,evidencetrackingand reporting.
• Promoteconsistentdata governance,definitionsand quality controlsacrossTSO compliancereporting.
• Ensuredata usedforreporting and analysisisaccurate,consistentand complete.
• Supportimprovements toreporting tools,dashboardsand governance platformsused for TSO oversight.
• Work withstakeholders to improve automation, efficiencyandclarity ofcompliance trackingand reporting.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential:

• Degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline,withatleast2years’relevantexperience indata analysis, reporting, business intelligence, risk analytics, or similar analytical role.
• Strong data analysis,interpretationand reporting skills, including the ability toidentifytrends, patterns and risks, and present complex information clearly.
• Experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to produce dashboards,reportsand performance metrics.
• Good understandingof datamanagement, datagovernance, dataqualityand data integrity practices.
• Awareness of governance,riskand compliance environments, ideally within regulated sectors such as energy, utilities, financialservicesor public infrastructure.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness of data used in TSO reporting and assurance activities.
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise management reports,dashboardsand documentation for governance forums.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple reporting requirements and deadlines while coordinating with stakeholders across Operations.

Desirable:

• Professional certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, or data management would be an advantage
• Experience supporting audit, compliance, risk management, or regulatory reporting activities would be beneficial
