Job summary

Jobgether in Ireland is seeking a Mid/Senior AI LLM Engineer to fine-tune and optimize self-hosted large language models for conversational AI across multilingual interactions. You will work from datasets to production, improving memory, personality and user experience in a remote‑first environment.

You will use PyTorch, Hugging Face, LoRA/QLoRA, and SFT techniques; collaborate with AI, product, web and DevOps teams; and deploy models with rigorous evaluation frameworks while ensuring

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience fine-tuning open-weight LLMs and deploying to production.
• Strong Python skills for ML workflows.
• Practical experience with PyTorch and Hugging Face or equivalent.
• Experience with SFT, LoRA, QLoRA and alignment techniques.
• Familiarity with DPO or GRPO.
• Experience with GPU-based training and debugging training issues.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and document findings.
• Experience with consumer-facing AI products and moderation considerations.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune and optimize open-weight LLMs to improve quality and personalization.
• Prepare and augment training datasets to improve relevance and naturalness.
• Design evaluation frameworks and benchmarks to measure model quality.
• Improve memory, consistency, and context handling over long conversations.
• Develop multilingual capabilities and character-aware interactions.
• Investigate failures and adjust data, prompts, and configurations.
• Run GPU-based training, troubleshoot infrastructure, and optimize workflows.
• Collaborate with AI, product, web, and DevOps teams to integrate improvements.
• Work with sensitive content policies and moderation requirements.
