Job summary

Ericsson in Athlone, Ireland, is seeking an AI Architect to define and steer AI strategy for telecom network management. You will collaborate with analysts, architects and implementation teams to ensure AI design, deployment and operation are scalable and aligned with architectural direction.

The role focuses on shaping AI across products and domains, not isolated solutions, and involves governance, observability and stakeholder communication at senior levels. Hybrid on-site role in Athlone.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AI transformation experience.
• Degree in CS/engineering is advantageous.
• Equivalent practical AI experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Define and support AI strategies for telecom network management and automation.
• Identify AI opportunities to improve network performance and efficiency.
• Lead or support AI proofs-of-concept with clear success measures.
• Translate PoCs into scalable product, platform or operational capabilities.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects and developers to align AI solutions with OSS, orchestration and cloud-native architectures.
• Design AI-enabled control loops, decisions, explainability and governance.
