Job summary

KPMG Ireland is seeking an Associate Director/Director in our Actuarial Advisory team in Dublin. You will lead complex non-life actuarial engagements, advise senior client stakeholders, and help shape risk, pricing and capital strategies.

The role combines client leadership with team development, business development and cross‑practice collaboration in a hybrid work environment. Strong actuarial credentials and prior leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant non-life actuarial experience in consulting or industry.
• Fellow or Associate of recognised actuarial bodies (SOA Ireland, IFoA or equivalent).
• Experience leading complex actuarial engagements and advising senior client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Head of Actuarial Function and Reviewing Actuary across a portfolio of insurance and reinsurance clients.
• Lead independent actuarial reviews and advise on reserving, pricing, capital and risk management matters.
• Support Lead Audit Specialist role for audit clients, reviewing key actuarial judgements and working with audit teams.
• Lead multi-disciplinary client engagements involving actuarial, consulting, accounting advisory and deal advisory colleagues.
• Provide technical oversight, coaching and quality review across actuarial engagements and develop the wider team.
• Take a leading role in business development including originating opportunities and developing proposals.
• Contribute to strategic development and growth of KPMG's actuarial practice.
