Job summary

European Tech Recruit is partnering with a leading semiconductor company in Cork to hire a Security Software Engineer. You will work across all software layers of the device architecture, from user space to kernel, and perform debugging across diverse software environments and hardware.

We seek 0–7 years of experience, strong C skills, and solid understanding of embedded hardware, OS concepts, and software architecture. Experience with JTAG debugging is a plus. Privacy notice applies.

European Tech Recruit are working closely with a leading semicon company, based in Cork, who are looking for a talented Security Software Engineer to join their team.

In this role you will work on all software layers of the device architecture, including user and kernel space in different operating environments. This position will involve debugging in different software environments and on hardware.

Requirements:

• 0-7 yrs experience.
• Strong C programming skills, with an emphasis on secure programming best practices.
• Strong understanding of embedded hardware & driver concepts.
• Strong understanding of software and computer architecture concepts.
• Strong understanding of operating system concepts such as tasks, signals, timers, priorities, deadlocks, stacks, memory management, etc.
• Experience with JTAG-enabled devices and software debugger, with excellent debugging skills.

Desirable:

• Working knowledge of cryptography and secure protocols.
• Our MSM and AMSS development experience.
• ARM architecture and software development experience.
• RISC-V architecture and software development experience.
• Experience with on-chip simulators/emulators.
• Experience with ARM Trustzone architecture.
