Job summary

Securitas Ireland is seeking a Security Operations Manager to lead the onsite security team at our client site in Clonee, Co. Meath.

You will manage daily operations, coordinate incident responses, and work with global security leadership to meet client needs. The role requires four years in security with management experience, familiarity with CCTV, access control and incident management platforms, and a commitment to high standards of confidentiality and customer service.

Qualifications

Four years of experience in the security industry, including four years in a management role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience in a datacenter environment is a plus.
CPP or PSP certifications are advantageous.
Willingness to travel ~10% of the time.
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
Must have legal right to work in Ireland and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

Manage site security operations team and ensure policies are followed.
Lead vendor security team response for crisis events on site.
Ensure vendor staff are trained to client standards.
Provide customer with reports and briefings as required.
Ensure tools and equipment are available for team duties.
Implement robust post and shift handover procedures.
Maintain confidentiality and privacy standards per client and laws.
Recruit and train SOC employees; assess team effectiveness.

Job Description

The SOM is responsible for managing and developing the onsite security team. The SOM will lead the security team through daily operations and all incident escalations. The SOM partners and supports site based global security leadership to ensure all identified client security needs are addressed.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Accountable for managing site security operations team, ensuring all client global security policies and procedures and other relevant documentation is adhered to.
Lead vendor security team response for crisis management events on site.
Responsible for ensuring that all vendor security staff are trained and knowledgeable to client standards when on post.
Provide the customer with reports, briefings and other requested information on a frequent or on ad hoc basis.
Responsible and accountable for ensuring that the security vendor team have the tools and equipment necessary to carry out their prescribed duties.
Accountable to implement and ensure robust post and shift handover procedures.
Comply with the site standardised guarding models, only deploying additional resources upon receipt of prior client approval.
Ensure an effective communications plan is implemented and documented throughout all levels of the security team.
Ensure that supervisory visits to assigned posts are occurring on a daily basis/Monthly Night shift and documented accordingly.
Accountable and responsible for ensuring that all security vendor staff maintain confidentiality management and privacy standards in accordance with client and relevant legislation.
Manage and direct an effective SOS team on site.
Interviews, selects, and manages the training of new SOC employees. Routinely measures and assesses the proficiency and effectiveness of the SOC team.
Immaculate presentation that adheres to prescribed dress code (civilian casual).

Qualifications

Four years of experience in the security industry, including four years in a management role, along with an associate degree in Security Management, Business Management, or a related field.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, and experience working in a datacenter environment is a plus.
Preferred qualifications include working knowledge of security technologies such as CCTV, access control systems, incident management platforms, and video surveillance software, as well as a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Business Management, or a related discipline.
Professional security certifications such as CPP or PSP are also an advantage
This position may involve some travel (approximately 10% of the time), so a passion for travel (and a valid passport) is essential.
This role may also have to work nights and weekends to support high priority events and off‑hours incidents.
All applicants to this role must have reliable means of communication, reliable means of transportation (public or private) to get to/from work, the legal right to work in the country where the position is located, and the ability to speak, read and write in English proficiently.
