Established in 1926, the Davy Group sits at the heart of wealth and capital in Ireland, providing a broad range of services to high-net-worth individuals, self-directed investors, small-to-medium enterprises, credit unions, corporations and domestic & international institutional investors.

Our culture is shaped around three values, which are at the heart of everything we do: client success, one Davy and building a proud legacy. As part of a team of over 900, you will be encouraged to learn and grow, both professionally and personally.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Scrum Master to join our team at Davy. In the role, the successful candidate will:

  • Drive Agile delivery and culture, supporting multi-disciplinary teams in delivering with adherence to Agile principles and the Scrum framework, and coaching team members and wider stakeholders on Agile best practice and mindset.
  • Facilitate key Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand‑ups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, etc.) and proactively identify, track and resolve blockers impacting delivery, working collaboratively across squads, the wider organisation and third parties as required.
  • Partner closely with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is well refined with clear priorities, enable allocation of backlog activities across the squad and provide transparency on deliverable progress, risk and outcomes.
  • Champion Agile ways of working, governance, standards and tooling.
About you

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:

Experience & Background
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master in software delivery environments, with a strong track record of improving team performance and delivery outcomes.
  • Experience working within cross‑functional teams (engineering, product, UX, operations) in medium to large‑scale organisations.
  • Exposure to Agile transformation initiatives, including introducing or maturing Agile practices across teams or organisations.
  • Comfortable operating in both hands‑on delivery roles and coaching/mentoring capacities.
  • Experience working with scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Spotify model) or multi‑team environments is highly desirable.
Agile Expertise
  • Strong practical knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and hybrid models (Scrumban).
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate core Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Retrospectives, Reviews) while driving continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience establishing and improving Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) frameworks.
  • Familiarity with metrics‑driven delivery, including velocity, cycle time and flow efficiency tracking.
Coaching & Leadership
  • Ability to coach and mentor teams, Product Owners and stakeholders to improve Agile maturity and delivery effectiveness.
  • Strong skills in facilitating collaboration, resolving impediments and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Experience embedding lean principles and efficient workflows into team practices.
  • Comfortable influencing across all levels, including senior stakeholders.
Technical & Delivery Practices
  • Good understanding of modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automation and DevOps principles.
  • Awareness of Agile engineering techniques such as BDD, TDD and feature toggling.
  • Experience supporting teams in delivering high‑quality software in iterative, incremental cycles.
Tools & Data
  • Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or similar.
  • Reporting and analytics tools for tracking Agile metrics.
  • Ability to use data and insights to drive decision‑making and improve predictability.
