Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to organise the day-to-day cleaning operation in a school environment. You will identify staffing needs, manage schedules within the annual budget, and liaise with the Area Supervisor.

You will monitor stock, arrange training, conduct site audits, and recruit cleaning staff to cover weekly hours. A pro-active approach, strong communication, and BICSc certification are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising cleaning staff in a school setting.
• BICSc certification at an appropriate level.
• Experience with a management system (ISO 9001/14001/18001).
• Pro-active attitude and strong IT skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to build client relationships and maintain standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the day-to-day cleaning operation and schedule.
• Identify staffing needs within the annual budget.
• Monitor stock of equipment and materials and place orders.
• Organise training for all cleaning staff and induction procedures.
• Interview and recruit staff to cover weekly hours.
• Manage personnel and liaise with Area Supervisor on procedures.
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed and audits are conducted.
