Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment is seeking a Sales & Warehouse Assistant for a busy roofing and building materials firm based in Cork. The role spans sales office and warehouse, handling customer interactions, orders and stock control.

The ideal candidate will be commercially aware, a strong communicator, with forklift licences and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm, with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a sales or customer service environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercially focused mindset.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid counterbalance and high-reach forklift licences.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at the front desk and support the sales office and warehouse.
• Sell products directly to customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Handle sales enquiries and orders by phone and email.
• Assist with stock control and general office administration.
• Support field-based sales representatives.
• Pick and prepare customer orders for collection and delivery.
• Load and unload trucks and containers.
• Operate counterbalance and high-reach forklifts.
• Ensure orders are accurately prepared and dispatched.
• Work independently when required, while contributing as part of a team.
