Job summary

Smyths Toys Superstores in Naas, County Kildare, is seeking a Sales Assistant for a temporary contract with hourly pay at €13.00 under 20, and €14.25 for those over 20. You’ll join a fast-paced team, delivering excellent customer service and helping customers find products.

Stores open 7 days a week; you’ll need flexibility to cover shifts, learn our range, and process tills and price changes as required.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is desirable, but not essential.
• Flexibility with shifts is advantageous.
• Customer-first service mindset required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants.
• Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team.

About The Role

This is a temporary contract, with a rate of pay of €13.00 per hour under age of 20 and €14.25 per hour if over 20 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team
• Keep the store clean and tidy
• Pack shelves and merchandise
• Work delivery and complete price changes
• Work on the tills
• Learn about and keep up to date with our products in order to help customers

The Ideal Candidate

Retail experience in the following areas is highly desirable, but not essential:

• Outdoor/Bikes
• Nursery
• Software & Gaming
• Backdoor/Warehouse

Our stores are open 7 days a week so we need our Sales Assistants to be as flexible as possible.
