Job summary

Hiney's Londis Crossmolina is seeking a Full Time Sales Assistant for the shop floor to help customers, stock control, displays and merchandising, with training provided.

You will operate a computerised till, manage deliveries and ensure shelves are tidy, priced correctly and easy to shop in a friendly, efficient manner for every customer.

This role is based in Crossmolina, Connacht, Ireland and offers a supportive team environment in a local community store.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail roles.
• Familiarity with till operations and barcode scanners.
• Experience with stock replenishment and merchandising.
• Friendly, proactive team player with flexible approach.

Responsibilities

Hiney's Londis Crossmolina seek a Full Time Sales Assistants for the Shop Floor.

MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To operate within the store departments efficiently, effectively and hygienically to ensure customer satisfaction with the highest standards of service and products at all times.

Training will be provided.

Duties include:

• Good customer care skills

• Knowledge of operating a till

• Ordering stock

• Accepting deliveries and reporting any shortages

• Arranging and rotating stock on the shop floor and stock room.

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Updating Shelf edged labels

• Stocking merchandise and creating displays

• Clean shelves and counters and making sure shop and store is tidy and free from clutter at all times.

• Operate computerised till system and barcode scanner, lotto machine, and other services offered to the customers

• Assist customers in bagging purchases

• Be vigilant at all times to prevent loss of stock and waste

• Be flexible

• Be able to communicate and interact with customers in a friendly and polite manner
