Job summary

Homesavers in Dublin is seeking a motivated Sales Assistant to provide excellent customer service and assist with day-to-day store operations. You will share information on products, handle transactions, and help with stock replenishment to maintain high store standards.

The role requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a friendly professional manner.
• Strong customer service focus with the ability to build rapport with customers.
• Experience with cash handling or POS systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide information on products, stock availability, and promotions to customers.
• Operate tills and handle cash/transactions accurately.
• Merchandise and replenish stock as directed to maintain store standards.
• Ensure pricing is correct for goods, promotions and offers.
• Assist with deliveries and stock handling.
• Carry out cleaning duties as required and maintain store cleanliness.
• Identify potential shortfalls that could affect daily targets.
• Represent the company culture, policies, and products in daily performance.

Sales Assistants ensure the delivery of outstanding levels of customer service to all our valued customers while ensuring that our high levels of store standards are maintained.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide information on our products to customers and the availability of stock and any special promotions
• Operate tills and handle financial transactions – Cash handling
• Merchandise and replenish stock as directed
• Ensure all goods/promotions / special offers are priced correctly
• Assist with deliveries and stock handling
• Undertake cleaning duties as required
• Identify in advance shortfalls that will affect the ability to meet daily operational targets.
• Continually develop an understanding of the Company’s culture, values, policies, procedures, products and reflect this in everyday performance
• Embrace and apply operational business changes on all occasions.
