Job summary

Maxi Zoo Ireland are recruiting for a Sales Assistant for our Ashbourne store. You will engage customers by offering knowledgeable guidance on products and contributing to a welcoming shopping experience that supports happy pets and satisfied owners.

Ideal candidates bring a genuine love of animals, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Previous retail exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work across the week including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and open attitude towards customers.
• Friendly and personable demeanour.
• Joy and fun in selling.
• Passion for animals.
• Previous experience in similar environment is desirable.

• Customer Engagement – Provide exceptional customer service by offering knowledgeable guidance on products, and fostering positive customer interactions.
• Brand Integrity - Achieve targets keeping the pets needs at the forefront of everything we do, ensuring that the animals entrusted to us are well cared for at all times.
• Merchandise and Inventory - Create an enticing shopping experience for all pet parents with impeccably stocked shelves with full product availability on the shelves.
• Personal Development - Proactively engage in personal and professional development in consultation with the store manager.
