Job summary

Ardmac seeks a Safety (SHEQ) Advisor to be based on site in Co Kildare. The role focuses on promoting Ardmac Safety First principles and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and ISO standards.

You will coordinate risk assessments, method statements, inductions, and training across on-site teams. The position requires 2–3 years of construction site experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Health and Safety.
• 2-3 years' Construction site experience.
• Experience of highly regulated industry sites preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote Ardmac Safety First Guiding Principals and ensure compliance with statutory obligations and ISO standards.
• Prequalify subcontractors before works commence.
• Ensure detailed methodologies include risk assessments and method statements.
• Verify induction training for all on-site personnel under Ardmac control.
• Ensure task-specific training is completed per risk assessments and method statements.
• Collect and maintain statutory plant and training records.
• Oversee weekly Toolbox Talks by site management.

About the Role

We are seeking a Safety (SHEQ) Advisor to be based on site in Co Kildare; the main job objectives are:

• To promote and facilitate the Ardmac Safety First Guiding Principals through the implementation of the Ardmac management systems while ensuring compliance to statutory obligations and ISO standards

What You’ll Be Doing (non exhaustive)

• Checking to ensure that Subcontractors are Prequalified prior to works commencing
• Checking to ensure detailed methodologies are in place for all works under Ardmac control to include Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Checking Induction training is completed for all on site under Ardmac control
• Checking to ensure Task Specific Training is completed for all in the content of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• Check and collate all necessary statutory plant and training records
• Check to ensure Tool Box Talks are completed at least weekly by the site management team
• Coach and guide persons working on the project through the task specific Safe Plan of Action (SPA’s) required for all tasks
