Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Safety Officer to join the civil engineering team on a major project at Dublin Airport and other sites in the Greater Dublin area. The role focuses on maintaining high health and safety standards across site activities with close collaboration to the Project Manager and Safety team.

Ideal candidates will have 2–5 years of Health & Safety experience in construction or civil engineering, a strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation, and excellent

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and safety checks.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Monitor civil, groundworks, excavation, and infrastructure activities.
• Assist with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and assist with corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks and site safety briefings.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and employees on health and safety matters.
• Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the project.
• Assist with safety reporting and continuous improvements to site safety standards.
