Position

Reporting to the Accountable Manager, The Safety Manager Airworthiness is a Nominated Post Holder, and is acceptable to the IAA. The Safety Manager Airworthiness may be required to deputise for the Organisation Safety Manager in his/her absence.

Key Accountabilities

  • Management, administration and development of the Safety Management System to facilitate hazard identification, risk assessment and management;
  • Monitor the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks, as listed in the safety action plan.
  • Provide periodic reports on safety performance to the safety review board;
  • Ensure the maintenance of safety management documentation;
  • Ensure that there is safety training available, and that it meets acceptable standards;
  • Provide advice on safety matters, development of applicable Safety bulletins or Notices.
  • Ensure the initiation and follow-up of internal and external occurrence investigations.
  • Notify the NP CAMO and NP 145 of any significant airworthiness risks identified during the course of the Safety Manager duties.
  • Maintain competence on the basis of continued education and training in their area of responsibility. The company will facilitate this process.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Recognised training in Safety Management, Hazard & Risk management, Safety Investigation Techniques and Root Cause methodologies and Human Factors.
  • Recognised training in Part CAMO and Part 145.
  • Understanding and promotion of a positive safety culture;
  • Operational experience related to the activities of a Part CAMO/Part 145 organisation;
  • Safety Management experience;
  • Good Interpersonal and leadership skills, and the ability to influence staff;
  • Good Oral and written communications skills;
  • Data management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau or other Business Intelligence tool is desirable.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU.
