Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences in Whitby, Ontario is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse for the Eating Disorders Unit. The role involves providing compassionate psychiatric nursing care to adolescents and coordinating interdisciplinary treatment plans.

Requirements include active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, BLS and CPR–HCP, strong documentation, and ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Competenze

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Current CPR–Health Care Provider (CPR–HCP).
• Knowledge of CNO Standards of Practice and reflective practice.
• Experience with adolescent psychopharmacology and psychiatric disorders preferred.
• Experience in adolescent assessment and treatment modalities.
• Eating disorders experience an asset.
• Crisis and suicide intervention experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently within an inter-professional team.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills in stressful situations.
• Leadership roles such as charge nurse, group co-facilitation, or preceptorship preferred.
• Ability to provide health teaching to families/parents.
• Ability to meet physical demands and work shifts.
• Attendance reliability and flexibility in scheduling.
