Job summary

Tigers Childcare in Pembroke, Ireland, is hiring a full-time early years leader to oversee a room and team, delivering high-quality care and education aligned with local frameworks. The role is 41.5 hours per week, permanent, with an hourly rate of €18.00 to €19.28 and a location-specific supplement.

You will mentor staff, ensure curriculum planning and compliance, and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive environment where children and colleagues thrive.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in a leadership role in early years settings.
• Fetac Level 6 (or recognised equivalent) in Early Childhood Education.
• Garda Vetting will be managed for you; international police clearance if applicable.

• Deliver high-quality, full-time early years care and education, leading your room and team.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Must-Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar early years leadership role
• Fetac Level 6 (or recognised equivalent) in Early Childhood Education
• Copies of qualifications and 2 written references
• Garda Vetting (we will manage this for you)
• International police clearance if applicable (for those who have lived abroad 6+ months)
• Leadership capability, reliability, empathy, and passion for working with children

Nice-to-Haves

• Previous experience leading a team or managing a classroom
• Strong understanding of Aistear and Siolta frameworks
• Interest in developing a long-term career in childcare leadership

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate: €18.00 to €19.28 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience) (The rate is inclusive of a location-specific supplement of €2 and payable while assigned to the Pembroke centre)
