The Hermitage Clinic seeks an NCHD in Robotic Surgery to support the robotic programme and provide expert bedside assistance. You will work with consultants to ensure high standards of patient care and participate in ongoing clinical governance and CME activities.

Responsibilities include leading robotic surgery workflow, docking the da Vinci system, instrument exchanges, patient positioning, and coordinating care with theatre staff to deliver safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• MB BCh BAO or equivalent recognised by the Irish Medical Council.
• Full registration with the Irish Medical Council.
• Knowledge of theatre environment and specialist surgery.

Responsabilités

• Lead, organise and co-ordinate the Robotic Surgery programme to ensure high patient care.
• Act as primary bedside assistant: patient positioning, docking the robot, instrument exchanges, suturing.
• Manage emergencies and rapid undocking for open conversion.
• Ensure robotic equipment is prepared and consumables managed.
• Collaborate with consultants, theatre staff and nurses for a seamless patient journey.
• Participate in training, CME and clinical governance activities.
