Job summary

Our Client in Ireland is seeking multiple drivers to join their team on a Monday to Friday basis with benefits. Complete scheduled collections and deliveries on time, ensuring a reliable service for customers and facilities. Overtime is available and an extra Saturday day can be worked if requested.

Responsibilities include safe deliveries, vehicle inspections, tachograph compliance, and maintaining a clean cab. Training and license refreshers are provided as part of the package.

Responsibilities

• Complete all scheduled collections and deliveries on time, ensuring an efficient and reliable service for customers and facilities.
• Ensure every delivery is carried out safely; consult Location Manager or Transport Manager if uncertain.
• Verify each delivery with the customer and obtain the required proof of delivery signature.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance checks; report defects promptly.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with Tachograph Regulations and Drivers' Hours legislation.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles; keep the cab tidy at all times.
• Report incidents, accidents and near misses promptly following reporting procedures.
• Provide operational support within the yard and assist with other duties as directed by Location Manager.

Job Role:

• Complete all scheduled collections and deliveries on time, ensuring an efficient and reliable service for all customers and facilities.
• Ensure every delivery can be carried out safely while respecting the customer's property. If there is any uncertainty, consult the customer, Location Manager, or Transport Manager before proceeding.
• Verify each delivery with the customer and obtain the required proof of delivery signature.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance checks, reporting any defects promptly.
• Operate vehicles in full compliance with Tachograph Regulations and Drivers' Hours legislation.
• Maintain the cleanliness of assigned vehicles by cleaning trucks as scheduled or required and keeping the cab clean and tidy at all times.
• Report all incidents, accidents, and near misses immediately, following the company's accident reporting procedures.
• Provide operational support within the yard and assist with other duties as directed by the Location Manager.

Overtime is readily available and an extra day Saturday can be worked if requested.
