Job summary

AMD is seeking an RF Application Design Engineer who will join a growing team to advance RF analog/mixed-signal design and validation. You will contribute to high-performance lab work, develop testbenches, and help validate IPs within a global, collaborative environment.

The role targets graduates from 2027 with strong Python and C/C++, familiarity with RF systems, and the ability to work across sites/time zones. A benefits package is described for eligible staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop/Maintain RF laboratory benches for application development and performance validation at the core level.
• Build testbench components to support the next generation IP.
• Maintain or improve current test libraries to support IP level testing.
• Create hardware solutions to validate the IP functional performance.
• Maintain and improve current hardware laboratory environment to speed up the Go To Market plan and improve the debug facility.
• Provide technical support to other teams.

RF Application Design Engineer

THE ROLE

We are looking for an adaptive, self-motitive design application engineer to join our growing team following graduation in summer/autumn 2027. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The RF Application Engineering team furthers and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.

THE PERSON

You have a passion for modern, complex analog mixed signal architecture, digital design, and design validation in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop/Maintain RF laboratory benches for application development and performance validation at the core level
• Build testbench components to support the next generation IP
• Maintain or improve current test libraries to support IP level testing
• Create hardware solution to validate the IP functional performance
• Maintain and improve current hardware laboratory environment to speed up the Go To Market plan and improve the debug facility
• Provide technical support to other teams

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Good at Python, C/C++
• Familiarity with Mathworks and NI SW products
• Experience/Background on RF System On Chip is a benefit
• Experience with RF Substrate design tools is a benefit

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

• Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related field
• Currently in final year of study and expect to graduate in 2027
