Job summary

ElevenLabs is seeking a Revenue Accountant to own portions of the monthly revenue close, apply ASC 606 to customer arrangements, and help scale the revenue accounting function as the business grows. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Billing Operations, Engineering, and FP&A to support contract reviews and revenue recognition.

This hands-on, high-ownership role fits a lean Finance team and requires independent execution of recurring workstreams while improving processes for IPO

Qualifications

• Deep ASC 606 knowledge including multi-element arrangements and variable consideration.
• Experience leading the revenue close including deferred revenue and month-end flux analysis.
• Track record of working with Sales, Legal, Billing Operations, Engineering and FP&A is required.

Responsibilities

• Execute significant portions of the monthly revenue close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform recurring usage and billing-to-GL reconciliations; resolve exceptions with cross-functional partners.
• Review contracts and apply ASC 606 guidance to standard arrangements; address high-judgment matters.
• Support accounting for credits, refunds, contract modifications, cutoff and variable consideration.
• Prepare revenue workpapers, audit support, and SOX readiness activities; support external audit.
• Support readiness for new products, pricing structures, billing models and partner launches.
• Improve and automate recurring revenue processes and exception reporting as the business scales.

ABOUT THE ROLE

ElevenLabs operates a complex and fast-evolving revenue model – enterprise contracts, self-serve API subscriptions, usage-based billing, and expanding international markets. As a Revenue Accountant, you will play a key role in ElevenLabs’ revenue accounting function.

You will own significant portions of the monthly revenue close, support the application of ASC 606 to customer arrangements, and help build scalable processes and controls as ElevenLabs grows toward IPO readiness.

You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Billing Operations, Engineering, and FP&A to support contract review, usage and billing completeness, new product launches, and accurate and timely revenue recognition. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role in a lean Finance team – the right person will independently run recurring workstreams, identify issues early, and help scale the revenue accounting operating model as the business grows.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Execute significant portions of the monthly revenue close, including journal entries, deferred and unbilled revenue schedules, reconciliations, and flux analysis
• Perform recurring usage / consumption completeness and billing-to-GL reconciliations; investigate exceptions and drive resolution with cross-functional partners
• Review customer contracts and apply established ASC 606 guidance to standard arrangements; elevate novel, high-judgment, or precedent-setting matters
• Support accounting for credits, refunds, contract modifications, cutoff, and variable consideration, with clear and audit-ready documentation
• Prepare revenue workpapers, audit support, and control evidence; support external audit, walkthroughs, and SOX readiness activities
• Support accounting readiness and UAT for new products, pricing structures, billing models, and partner / channel launches
• Improve and automate recurring revenue processes, reconciliations, documentation, and exception reporting as the business scales
