Job summary

Sitecore is seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant to ensure IFRS 15 compliant revenue recognition for SaaS subscriptions and multi-element arrangements. This role supports month-end close, analyzes contracts, and collaborates with Sales, Legal and FP&A to keep revenue records accurate and timely.

The ideal candidate is a fully qualified accountant with 3+ years’ experience in SaaS or tech, with strong IFRS 15 knowledge, ERP experience (NetSuite ARM) and Salesforce CPQ, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Experience with IFRS 15 and revenue recognition for SaaS or technology businesses.
• Proven ability to analyze customer contracts and ensure correct revenue recognition.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Revenue recognition analysis and contract review in line with IFRS 15.
• Prepare and post journal entries for revenue and deferred revenue; support month-end close.

About the Role:

Sitecore is seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant. The Revenue Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition and compliance with IFRS 15 standards for SaaS-based subscription models and complex multi-element arrangements. This role supports the month-end close process, analyzes customer contracts, and collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and FP&A to ensure revenue is recorded accurately and timely.

What You'll Do:

• Revenue Recognition:
  Analyze and interpret customer contracts to ensure appropriate set up in NetSuite ARM for proper revenue recognition treatment in accordance with IFRS 15 and company revenue recognition policy.
• Month-End Close:
  Prepare and post journal entries for revenue as needed, deferred revenue, and related accounts. Reconcile revenue-related balance sheet accounts deferred revenue and unbilled accounts receivable and support monthly close timelines.
• Contract Review & Documentation:
  Partner with Sales and Legal to review new and amended contracts. Maintain documentation to support revenue conclusions and audit requirements.
• Process Improvement:
  Participate in continuous review of processes and help identify improvements to streamline revenue accounting operations, including automation of manual tasks and enhancement of internal controls.
• Audit & Compliance:
  Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit inquiries. Ensure compliance with internal controls and processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Work closely with FP&A, Sales Operations, and Billing teams to ensure alignment on billing and revenue accuracy.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Fully qualified accountant, with 3+ years of working experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
• Proven ability to run programs and projects, lead initiatives, and drive technological advancements.
• Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite ARM, Salesforce CPQ) is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
