Job summary

Supermacs at The Mallow N20 Plaza, Co. Cork is hiring full-time Retail & Forecourt Assistants. You will interact with customers, handle payments, maintain a clean and welcoming store environment, and support management in delivering great service.

Candidates must be 18+ due to alcohol and tobacco sales; flexibility in shifts; full-time availability; good communication and teamwork. This role offers a fast-paced environment with opportunities to learn store operations and food safety practices.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older due to serving alcohol and tobacco.
• Full-time availability and flexibility in shifts.
• Good communication and team working skills.

Responsibilities

• To serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, providing an exceptional standard of customer care.
• To follow cash handling policy and balance cash drawers; open/close registers and process payments.
• Keep shelves tidy, update shelf labels, and maintain a clean store environment.
• To prepare food for resale and ensure HACCP compliance.
• Check temperatures and maintain HACCP records.
• Monitor Critical Control Points to prevent contamination.
• Assist with stock rotation and stock takes to minimise waste.
• Help out at the Supermac’s counter during busy periods.
• Ensure store cleanliness and safety for staff and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the assistant store manager/store manager.
