Job summary

Autism A Chara is seeking a part-time Support Worker - Residential to provide person-centred support to adults with autism. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and helping individuals engage with their community, on a rota that includes evenings, weekends, and some night shifts.

Essential criteria include a QQI Level 5 Health Care qualification, readiness to work in Ireland, and a compassionate approach.

Qualifications

• A full QQI Level 5 major award in Health/Care is essential
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills are required
• Ability to work on own initiative and adapt to needs of people with complex needs

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and routines including personal care
• Support engagement in community activities
• Work on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duties
• Learn about service users to tailor support to individual needs
