Job summary

Global Professional Consultants in Galway is seeking a Resident Engineer – Civil Engineering to manage multiple projects across Roads, Active Travel, Residential and Water/Wastewater.

The role requires 5+ years’ civil engineering experience and a degree in Civil Engineering, with on-site team leadership and strong regulatory knowledge. An attractive package includes pension, health insurance, mileage, wellness, and CPD support.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years’ civil engineering experience, including Resident Engineer exposure.
• Strong technical grasp of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Experience leading site-based engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site supervision for civil projects in Galway.
• Coordinate with design teams and client stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
• Mentor and manage site engineers and technicians.

Resident Engineer – Civil Engineering
Galway

Resident Engineers with 5+ years’ experience are required to join a leading Irish engineering consultancy for a number of projects in Galway. This consultancy has grown from a small Irish practice into a large international consultancy, with an excellent reputation and a strong portfolio of leading projects across Ireland and abroad. Multiple Resident Engineer opportunities are available, covering a range of sectors including Roads, Active Travel, Residential and Water/Wastewater.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 5+ years’ civil engineering experience, including experience in a Resident Engineer role
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
• Experience managing site-based engineering teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and Health & Safety Regulations
