Job summary

Beechfield Care Group is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator for Beechfield Manor Nursing Home in Dublin to enhance resident engagement through planned activities and programs. The role involves assessing resident needs, planning schedules, and delivering both group and individual activities in a supportive environment.

You will work part-time (16 hours) at Beechfield Manor with a focus on person-centred activity provision, documentation, and ongoing quality improvement of the activity programme.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating activities in care settings is desirable.
• Ability to plan, implement and evaluate resident activities.
• Good communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plans and schedules a program of individual and/or group activities.
• Coordinates activities to promote social interaction and intellectual stimulation.
• Provides in-room activities for residents who are confined to rooms.
• Completes activity assessments and care plan documentation.
• Develops monthly calendar of planned activities.
• Reviews and maintains activity-related notes and charts.
• Develops and reviews continuous quality improvement plans for the Activity Programme.
