Job summary

Raretec Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Reserving Analyst to join the Reserving Team in Dublin. This role suits a Part or Nearly Qualified Actuary with a background in life or non-life reserving, offering a 2 days in office, 3 days work from home structure and study support.

You will deliver accurate reserve calculations, align financial reporting with reserves and reinsurance, and bridge Local GAAP and IFRS 17 standards.

Qualifications

• Part or Nearly Qualified Actuary with 3+ years in life or non-life reserving.
• Background in actuarial science or mathematics.
• European language skills are a plus; fluency in English required, French a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate reserve calculations and lead development of reserving methodologies and policies.
• Produce and align financial reporting and accounting related to reserves and reinsurance agreements.
• Bridge Local GAAP and IFRS 17 across portfolios.
• Support data and system transformations by integrating reserve calculations into the data platform.
• Conduct experience surveys across core metrics including mortality and morbidity, producing internal control insights.

Our client is seeking a Reserving Analyst to join their Reserving Team. This role is ideal for a Part or Nearly Qualified Actuary with a background in life or non-life insurance reserving. In the Reserving Analyst role, you will:

• Reserving & Valuation Management: Deliver accurate, timely technical reserve calculations while leading the development, testing, and implementation of advanced reserving methodologies and updated policies.
• Financial Reporting & Accounting Alignment: Produce, review, and maintain ongoing technical and reinsurance accounts, ensuring strict compliance with current reserving frameworks and partner profit-share agreements.
• Regulatory & Standards Compliance: Analyze, bridge, and reconcile the accounting gaps between Local GAAP and IFRS 17 standards across all portfolios.
• Data & System Transformation: Play a key operational role in the integration of reserve calculations into the centralized data platform, establishing a robust internal control framework for technical data.
• Risk Analysis & Experience Surveys: Execute detailed experience surveys across core insurance metrics (including mortality and morbidity) and produce risk-managed internal control cards.
