Job summary

Grandstand is seeking a mid-level Full Stack Developer to join our remote development team. You will work across the full stack from WordPress backend to React-powered front-ends on high-traffic digital platforms.

You’ll contribute to feature development, performance optimisation, and infrastructure work, collaborating with product, editorial, and SEO teams to drive real business impact.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building PHP WordPress platforms.
• Experience creating custom Gutenberg blocks.
• Strong React frontend with modern JS features.
• Ability to write clean, scalable backend code in WordPress.
• Familiarity with WP REST API, custom post types, and taxonomies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PHP-based WordPress platforms.
• Build and extend custom Gutenberg blocks for editorial and UI experiences.
• Develop React-based front-end features and interactive components.
• Collaborate on database design, query optimisation, and caching strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
• Work with product, editorial, and SEO teams to deliver features.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and developer tooling.
• Improve performance, scalability, and maintainability across platforms.
